I was directed by one of my teachers to choose and create an interpretation from a series of Renaissance artists' sketches. I loved Raphael's Head of a Young Acolyte. The real one is in sepia chalk, is utterly lovely, and is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. I learned a great deal about the airiness of his hand while completing this. He probably spent 15 minutes on the sketch: I spent days! I am very happy with the result!
